Nigerian skit maker and recording artist OGB Recent calls on Cartel Omebo for Philipine, a single produced by Boywithmagic.
The full title is Philipine Dey Pay, and the hook already works as a question on TikTok. A sound posted under Cartel Omebo’s name already has clips with well over 100,000 likes, so the hook is travelling. Creators ask Philippine dey pay in Pidgin and react with laughter. Cartel Omebo’s TikTok handle even carries a Bright Philippine Boy tag.
Boywithmagic produced both songs on the two-track release. The other cut, Debit, reunites OGB Recent and Cartel Omebo. Blogs call Debit a party bop that leans on humour and street grit. Sources spell the title Philipine, while TikTok users type Philippine.
OGB Recent is known for comedy skits and a cultist-themed catchphrase. A ThisDay profile called him a fast-growing comic sensation with over half a million followers. That profile also called him a computer science student. Cartel Omebo is billed as a fast-rising Nigerian singer-songwriter.
His video list includes You Dey Prank Cultists and a cultist battle with Sirbalo. Ziscaloma and OGB Recent also have a joint skit. Jam Philipine and tell us in the comments – does the hook make you laugh or ask who is paying?
