South African vocalist Minollar closes her “Let’s Dance” EP on a spiritually charged note with “Ebenezer,” featuring Aw’DjMara.

The title carries deep meaning. “Ebenezer” is a Hebrew word meaning “stone of help” – a declaration that God has brought you to this point and will continue to carry you forward. So Minollar does not just give the song a religious-sounding name. She builds the entire emotional framework of the record around that specific declaration of gratitude and faith. And the result is the EP’s most surprising track – a club-ready record with a genuine spiritual anchor underneath.

Aw’DjMara’s production stays true to the EP’s Gqom and Afro-House identity throughout. But something sits slightly different on “Ebenezer” compared to “uThando Lwami” earlier on the project. The arrangement carries a little more space – as if the production itself understands that what is being said deserves room to breathe. So the record moves with energy while still allowing the meaning of the words to land clearly.

Minollar’s vocal performance also reaches higher here than anywhere else on the project. The “Gqom Barbie” persona takes a step back and lets something more sincere come through. That vulnerability at the closing track is exactly the kind of artistic decision that separates a thoughtfully constructed EP from a random collection of singles.

Closing “Let’s Dance” with “Ebenezer” is also a structurally bold choice. You open loud and aggressive with “uNodoli,” move through love and longing in the middle, and close with gratitude. That arc gives the project a beginning, middle, and end that most South African dance EPs never attempt.
