EmPawa Africa signee oSHAMO drops his second release of 2026 with “For Your Tears,” featuring Shiloh Yodellé – and the collaboration adds real emotional weight to a rising artist’s growing catalogue.
oSHAMO has been building his emPawa Africa profile steadily throughout 2026. His appearances on Pheelz’s “OGA” alongside Shoday and Major AJ’s “Jolo” put him in front of established audiences. But “For Your Tears” steps him back into his own spotlight with a record that speaks directly from personal emotion rather than borrowing someone else’s.
Shiloh Yodellé is the right feature choice here. Their vocal chemistry gives the collaboration a warmth and depth that a solo record would not have carried with the same completeness. Both artists operate in the Afro-fusion space where melody and emotional honesty sit at the centre rather than production flash. So “For Your Tears” benefits from two voices that understand the assignment and serve it equally throughout.
The chart placement at number four on Xclusiveloaded’s September 25 rankings – sitting directly after Moses Bliss and above Barry Jhay – also confirms the record landed with real immediate traction on one of Nigerian music’s most competitive Fridays of the year. Because dropping on a Friday alongside Tiakola and Rema, Kolaboy, Moses Bliss, and the full HumbleSmith EP requires a record that holds its own rather than disappearing into the noise.
The “Shina Rampe” predecessor already showed oSHAMO could build consistent output. “For Your Tears” confirms he is building it with range.
