Omah Lay extends his sophomore album with four new tracks on Clarity of Mind (Extended), pushing the project to sixteen songs.
The original twelve arrived in April, and this edition keeps that sequence intact before adding fresh material at the end .
The biggest addition is “Back to Lagos,” a collaboration with American rapper Gunna. The record reflects on fame and ambition, built on ominous bass and atmospheric guitar textures . French artist Tiakola joins on “Take,” while “Keep Going” offers an uplifting reminder to persevere. The closing track, “Holy Ghost Fire,” produced by Lekaa Beats, strips back the album’s spiritual centerpiece to keys, guitar, and violin .
The timing makes sense. Omah Lay postponed remaining tour dates due to a knee injury, and this release keeps the album cycle active while he recovers . Since its spring release, the original project placed twelve songs simultaneously on Billboard’s U.S. Afrobeats Songs chart, a personal best, and debuted at No. 8 on the World Albums chart .
Give the extended edition a listen and tell me whether the new tracks justify the expansion.
