American singer-songwriter Phoebe Bridgers has returned with the long-awaited release of her third solo album Lost Weekend, her first since 2020’s Punisher.

Released August 14, 2026, on Dead Oceans, the 16-track project comes six years of major changes in Bridgers’ life and career. In that time she rejoined Lucy Dacus and Julien Baker in boygenius, as well as experienced loss and seismic changes in her relationships.

Those experiences are the heart of Lost Weekend. The album is an exploration of grief, love, memory and emotional uncertainty, including the death of Bridgers’ father in 2022. His voicemail is included in the project, adding a particularly intimate element to an album already based around reflection.

Musically, Bridgers drifts between intimate folk moments and more atmospheric arrangements, with subtle electronic textures and unexpected details adding depth. “Bobby” features guitar from Justin Broadrick of Godflesh, and “Lost Boys” has vocals from her boygenius bandmates.

Lost Weekend, after years away from solo work, feels less like a straightforward comeback and more of a snapshot of everything that Bridgers has gone thru since Punisher.
