Multi-gifted music artist Cojo Rae turns “Dbee” into a TikTok conversation starter from his “Gen Z Highlife” album.
The rollout was playful. He asked fans to name their “Dbee” crush in the comments. One clip, built around a joke about praying at midnight, pulled 151.1K likes. Another reached 89.6K. So the title was trending before the full song reached most listeners.
Fans ran with it. Some creators used the sound in beauty and fashion clips. That kind of organic use matters for an independent artist.
“Gen Z Highlife” holds fourteen songs and runs about 37 minutes. Cojo Rae is Kumasi-based, and he uses the album to push his own take on highlife for younger listeners. Production credits for “Dbee” haven’t surfaced yet. Still, the album’s direction is clear, with Ghanaian roots and modern sounds side by side.
“Iskoki” also got a TikTok push ahead of the album and drew 57.5K likes. So “Dbee” is not a one-off experiment. It follows a pattern. Short clips first, then the full project. For now, the clips are doing the talking.
