Davido keeps his solo run alive on “Constantly,” the fourth track off “ORIADÉ” – and the last solo entry before the collaboration sequence fully kicks in.
That positioning on the tracklist is worth noting. Three solo records open the album. Then “Constantly” closes that run before “I Know Who I Be” with JAZZWRLD and GL_Ceejay shifts the album into its collaborative phase. So Davido uses these first four tracks to establish exactly who he is in 2026 before inviting anyone else into the room. That kind of structural confidence does not happen by accident.
“Constantly” sits in the emotional territory ORIADÉ was built around – purpose, persistence, and what the journey looks like from the inside. But where “On The Road” opened with ambition and “Julie” leaned into intimacy, this one feels more internal. It reads like the kind of record an artist makes when they need to remind themselves why they started. Because fifteen years in, that reminder still matters.
Davido recorded most of ORIADÉ at home with his family nearby. So a record called “Constantly” – about staying committed through everything – lands with more texture when you know the environment it came from. The album’s most grounded moments all seem to draw from that same well of domesticity and reflection.
The word itself also carries a double meaning that works well in an Afrobeats context – devotion to the craft and devotion to a person can sit in the same song without fighting each other. Davido has always known how to hold both.
