South African producers Elvirgo and QueenThee Vocalist team up with Ivy Casanova and OldManMike on a fresh Amapiano single titled “Ngiyakhala.”
The combination of these four acts carries familiar creative history. Elvirgo and OldManMike have collaborated multiple times through the “Tsonga King” project – “ISTHEMBISO” and “INTO STEP” both showed what that chemistry produces. So bringing OldManMike back alongside Ivy Casanova into a QueenThee Vocalist collaboration builds on already-proven relationships rather than starting from scratch.
QueenThee Vocalist brings her signature soulful warmth that has made her one of South Africa’s most consistent vocal contributors across Amapiano and Afro-soul. Her previous work with Dj Skizoh BW, TallexQ, and Nvcely Sings showed an artist who knows how to adapt to different creative environments without losing her identity. So “Ngiyakhala” earns her contribution rather than borrowing it.
Ivy Casanova adds another vocal layer that gives the record textural depth. The combination of four distinct creative voices on one record could easily become crowded – but Elvirgo’s production instinct keeps the arrangement focused enough for every performance to land clearly.
“Ngiyakhala” translates to “I am crying” in Zulu – so the emotional weight sitting underneath the record is real. The blend of soulful vocals and warm Amapiano production gives that theme the right sonic frame without making the record feel heavy.
