Zambian rapper Jay Rox, real name Jackson Ngambi, links up with Dove Dee on a new one titled “Kumbucha.” These two already have history, Dove Dee’s previous single “Mapalo” featured Jay Rox alongside Keem.
Jay Rox built his name through Zone Fam before launching his own solo career and founding Headphone Music. He’s known for amazing lyricism and a genuine love for collaboration.
Dove Dee, a steadily rising Lusaka rapper, keeps building momentum through joint releases. This reunion with Jay Rox continues a partnership that’s already shown real chemistry.
Expect the production to lean into that same Zambian hip hop energy Jay Rox favors, punchy drums and confident instrumentation built for sharp bars.
Jay Rox likely brings his usual thoughtful, competitive approach here, he’s spoken about always challenging himself to top his previous work. That drive tends to show up in every verse.
Dove Dee probably matches that energy, trading bars with someone who’s already proven to be a reliable collaborator. Given the playful title, expect something lighter and more fun than deeply serious.
By the end, “Kumbucha” plays like another solid Lusaka hip hop team-up built on real chemistry. Confident, sharp, grounded in genuine partnership.
