Masterpiece YVK, real name Thabang Kganakga, teams up with Focalistic, Mellow & Sleazy, Optimist Music ZA, and Fake’well on “Skang Sokodisa.” Five names on one track signals real amapiano weight.
Masterpiece YVK recently signed with Universal Music South Africa, building off collaborations like “Thul’ubheke” alongside Kabza De Small. He’s also linked with DJ Maphorisa’s Blaqboy Music camp.
Mellow & Sleazy, the Pretoria duo from Soshanguve and Ga-Rankuwa, bring their signature Bacardi-amapiano blend. Their track record includes gold and platinum hits, plus heavy rotation collaborations with Focalistic himself.
Focalistic’s catalog already leans into that same Bacardi sound, his Ghetto Gospel album featured Mellow & Sleazy prominently. So this pairing continues a well-established creative partnership.
Expect driving log drums and that signature Pretoria Bacardi groove throughout. Masterpiece YVK’s smooth, versatile delivery should blend naturally with Focalistic’s commanding presence.
Optimist Music ZA and Fake’well round out the record, adding layers to what’s shaping up as a genuine amapiano collective moment.
By the end, “Skang Sokodisa” plays like a stacked, credible amapiano statement built on real industry connections. Polished, communal, backed by proven chemistry.
