Mbagala Tanzanian Singeli artist Jeusi Mc has released a new solo record, ‘Kula Ujana ’, which was released under the Sava Record Label.
The title translates to “enjoy your youth” in Swahili – and that phrase captures exactly the kind of energy Jeusi Mc brings to his music. He has built his name within the Bakora movement of Singeli, a fast-paced, percussion-heavy subgenre rooted in Dar es Salaam’s working-class neighborhoods. So “Kula Ujana” fits naturally into a catalog that has always spoken directly to young listeners in their own language and pace.
