“Ulwembu” means “spider’s web” in Zulu, and that imagery says everything about what the song is doing emotionally. A web catches you quietly before you realise you’re stuck, and that tension runs through the record from start to finish. It’s one of the more conceptually interesting titles on the EP.
The production leans into darker, more atmospheric Amapiano textures than the warmer cuts on the project. Skillz builds something that feels deliberately unsettled underneath the melody, giving the track a mood that separates it from standard love song territory.
