Nigerian star Qing Madi drops a new one titled “Can’t Wait” featuring Djames. Real name Chimamanda Pearl Chukwuma, she’s built her name on blending Afrobeats with R&B, pop, and alté influences.
Qing Madi’s been in a strong run lately, dropping her debut album “I Am the Blueprint” earlier this year before parting ways with JTON Music. So this new single comes at an interesting moment in her career.
Expect her signature youthful, experimental sound here, the same energy that carried “See Finish” and “Ole” to major success. Her voice has always carried maturity beyond her age.
Qing Madi likely leads with her emotionally direct, powerful vocal style. That authenticity has defined her catalog since her debut EP first dropped back in 2023.
Djames comes in to add a second voice, rounding out whatever story “Can’t Wait” is telling. Given the title, expect themes of anticipation, longing, or excitement running through the record.
By the end, this plays like another confident, genre-blending entry from one of Afrobeats’ most promising young voices. Youthful, emotional, built on real vocal talent.
