Nigerian artist Shallipopi takes a space-themed trip on “UP (Transovania),” the second track on his three-song EP “WayWard.”
The lyrics lean on rocket ships and going higher. The mood stays carefree. Wealth, enjoyment, and street confidence come up too. So it is a party record with a cartoon sci-fi coat.
Chants hold it together. Lines about going “up, up, and away” repeat until they stick. He keeps his usual conversational flow. Slang and wordplay take the place of a strict rap structure. It is short, silly, and built for repeat plays.
“WayWard” runs about nine minutes across three tracks. The others are “.com” and “OGO.” Since 93, a division of Sony Music UK, handles the release. This middle cut links the opener to the closer. Professor X and Tudor Munroe are credited with production.
Shallipopi, born Crown Uzama, broke through with “Elon Musk” in 2023. Since then, the Pluto Presido has built a name on odd titles and playful slang. “UP (Transovania)” fits that habit.
