Written by Dennis Junior Odunwo, the record opens on a cyclical relationship pattern, that familiar push and pull of breaking up and making up again. Because Tion Wayne frames wealth as the thing that supposedly changed him, the song immediately positions money and loyalty in tension with each other rather than treating them as separate topics.
That tension carries throughout the entire track. He weaves references to luxury, like his Rolex RM, alongside genuine vulnerability about staying committed despite past mistakes, and that contrast gives “Old Dilemma” more emotional texture than a typical flex record.
