Woza Bakzin and GoldMax go it alone this time on “Ispikili,” no features, just the two of them.
No guest list for once. Kind of refreshing honestly after all those crowded posse cuts. Just Woza Bakzin and GoldMax handling business themselves, nobody else needed.
Log drum’s back in full force here, GoldMax not holding anything back on the low end. Feels like a return to the straightforward party formula after “Umlando” slowed things down. Piano stabs sit high in the mix, sharp, almost stabbing at the beat like the title suggests.
Woza Bakzin sounds locked in, no other voice to share space with this time. More room to stretch out a verse, take his time with the pocket. You can hear the difference when there’s nobody else to bounce off of.
Not much depth to unpack lyrically, and that’s fine. “Ispikili” isn’t trying to be “Umlando.” It’s a groove track, plain and simple, built for movement not meaning.
Two names this time instead of six, and it works just as well honestly. Sometimes less really is more.
