Fireboy DML, one of YBNL’s most consistent Afrobeats voices, officially announces his fifth studio album “Zuko.”
The announcement dropped on July 11, 2026, and it came with a full cinematic teaser – Fireboy dressed in a red suit with blood-stained bandages, riding an empty highway until a license plate flashes the word ZUKO. That kind of imagery alone tells you this is not going to be a casual project. The themes of resilience and self-reclamation are already baked into the rollout before a single official track has dropped.
This will be his first solo album since Adedamola in August 2024, which means Fireboy has had time to sit, reflect, and build. Between that and the collaborative EP Peace By Piece with Pheelz in 2025, he has stayed active without rushing the main event. So when Zuko finally lands, it is arriving with the kind of patience behind it that usually produces a focused album.
His run speaks for itself – from Laughter, Tears & Goosebumps in 2019 through Apollo, Playboy, and Adedamola, each project caught a different side of him. But Zuko feels different in terms of energy. The teaser language around reclaiming position and resilience suggests Fireboy is coming back with something to prove, and that tension tends to bring out the best in him.
Tracklist and features are still under wraps, but the early buzz is already running loud online. Fans are watching closely, and honestly, so are we.
