Nigerian-American rapper Tobe Nwigwe links up with highlife duo The Cavemen on a new record titled “CHOP” from “THE BRIDGE.”
“CHOP” sits at track two on the 12-song album, which came out on August 21, 2026. Kizzo produced it. So the record arrives early in the project and sets a Nigerian tone right away.
Before the release, Tobe let his mother, Mama V, preview the album at a listening setup. She picked this one as a favourite. His caption said it all: “Mama V said, ‘I love this one.’ Case closed.”
The Cavemen are not one-song guests either. They also appear on “SUPERSTAR” with FirstKlaz and on “WHAT LOVERS DO” with Infinity Song and Fat Nwigwe. That makes three spots for the duo, and “CHOP” is the first of them.
Credits on the track also list Benjamin Chukwudi James, Kingsley Chukwudi Okorie, Tierce Person, and Kwadwo Donkoh. So several hands shaped the record, even though two names get the billing.
The pairing fits the album’s title. “THE BRIDGE” connects Nigeria and America, and it pulls in Busta Rhymes, Sia, Adekunle Gold, and Flavour along the way. Still, the highlife link here feels the most direct.
Listen to “Tobe Nwigwe – CHOP ft. The Cavemen” and tell us in the comments if Mama V got it right!
