Uncool MC brings together DJ Raybel, Seun1401, and Myztro on a new one titled “Ngasho.” Myztro, real name Tshiamiso Sekowe, carries real pedigree here, he’s DJ Maphorisa’s biological brother and a 2023 Newcomer of the Year winner.
That Maphorisa connection runs through Uncool MC’s own story too, since Phori was the one who pushed him into serious studio work. So this pairing feels like it’s coming full circle in some way.
DJ Raybel brings Durban Gqom roots into the mix, known for heavy percussion and deep bass from that Gqom Oh scene. Combining that with Myztro’s amapiano pedigree gives this record real range.
Expect a blend of amapiano and Gqom textures here, log drums meeting that Durban bass sound. Myztro’s catalog, built on hits like “Emcimbini” and “66,” leans melodic and polished.
Uncool MC likely leads with his usual sharp, rhythmic MC-style delivery, the approach that’s made him a standout voice in amapiano’s current wave. Seun1401 rounds out the vocal side, adding another layer to the record.
By the end, “Ngasho” plays like a genre-blending collaboration backed by real industry connections. Rhythmic, layered, built on genuine amapiano and Gqom chemistry.
